Mutiara Teknologi (M) Sdn Bhd (MTSB) and Sieza s.r.o. inked a memorandum-of-understanding (MoU) to offer the Perimeter Direction Detection System (Peridect) for high-security areas and buildings
KUALA LUMPUR: A local company has teamed up with its partner from the Czech Republic to enhance the perimeter security of strategic facilities.
Mutiara Teknologi (M) Sdn Bhd (MTSB) and Sieza s.r.o. inked a memorandum-of-understanding (MoU) to offer the Perimeter Direction Detection System (Peridect) for high-security areas and buildings.
MTSB chief executive officer Abdul Hafidz Win said that the deal enabled them to be the main supplier in Malaysia and cooperate with Sieza in marketing the products related to electronic safety systems.
“Peridect is a safety detector using Internet of Things (IOT) technology that is capable to securely protect the specific strategic areas’ perimeter to avoid any physical intrusions from irresponsible parties.MORE NEWS

“This system is suitable to be used by agencies that require a high level of safety such as military and defence facilities, airports, prisons, hospitals, oil and gas facilities, treatment facilities and reservoirs,” said Hafidz.
MTSB is a fully owned Bumiputra company with its headquarters in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor.
It has vast experiences in radio communication equipment and information technology for more than 22 years, since its establishment in 1999.
“We are very grateful and glad to be selected as the main supplier and the first time the company has been given the opportunity to deal with the principal company from the Czech Republic.
“The Czech government has given us a full and dedicated support to collaborate with Czech companies that are strong in defence and other high-end technologies,” Hafidz said.
He added MTSB had targeted the government and private agencies as its main markets in Malaysia and Asia.
“With our experience dealing with the government projects and with government linked companies (GLCs), we are confident to penetrate and market the product to reach the whole of Malaysia,” he said after the MoU at the ‘Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2022 and National Security Conference Asia (NATSEC) 2022’ being held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Dutamas.
Hafidz signed on behalf of MTSB, while Sieza s.r.o. was represented by its South-east Asia business development representative Lukas Krenovsky.
Present were the Czech Republic’s Defence Ministry assistant deputy minister (Industrial Cooperation Division) Radka Konderlova, Czech Republic ambassador Milan Hupcej and Malaysian National Security Council director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad.
MTSB also deals with other latest high technology products including high frequency radio communication systems from South Africa and body-worn cameras from the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Radka told The New Straits Times that the MoU set the terms and understanding between MTSB and Sieza IEZA to supply and integrate PERIDECT+ Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems in the Malaysian market.
“We selected MTSB as our preferred partner for the information, communication technology’s system solution and integration in Malaysia and other emerging parties.
“Sieza is committed to manufacture and supply reliable and efficient perimeter protection systems to the global market.
“We are confident that this MoU will improve collaboration between our agencies and to enhance services in perimeter intrusion detection for various markets and strategic facilities in Malaysia,” she said.
Radka added that apart from manufacturing and supplying the Peridect+ system to MTSB, Sieza would also provide the relevant training on the integration and calibration of the system.
“This training will be renewed and evaluated yearly to ensure that MTSB is well equipped with any new updates, with regards to the integration and calibration processes,” she said.
Radka added that MTSB would facilitate in integrating and calibrating the Peridect+ system for their projects and clients in Malaysia.
