Located in the state of Penang, the “Silicon Valley” of Southeast Asia, éolane Malaysia will benefit from this hub located at the heart of the Indo-Pacific Ocean.
Penang, which has modern and robust infrastructure, is located at the top of the value chain and benefits from numerous investments in electronics, in terms of design, manufacturing and industrialization.
éolane joins world leaders in electronics such as Intel Corporation, Hewlett Packard (now Keysight Technologies and Agilent Technologies), Robert Bosch, AMD, Litronix (now Osram Opto Semiconductors), Hitachi (now Renesas), Clarion, National Semiconductor… at Kulim Hi-tech Park.
Thus, éolane’s customers will benefit of optimized sourcing of electronic components thanks to this geographical proximity to OEM’s manufacturing premises in Southeast Asia.
Penang is also home to more than 350 multinationals supported by over 3,000 SMEs related to the manufacturing of electronic components. It offers not only a pool of strong and qualified talents that will strengthen the expertise and know-how of the éolane group, but also a significant potential for activity growth.
Several customers have already confirmed their orders at this new site, with production starting in January 2024.
- For Grace-Lingjia Colin, Managing Director of éolane China and éolane Malaysia: “This new production unit allows us to support our strong growth in Asia (+21% in 2022) and demonstrates our ability to remain at the forefront of all technologies to provide the best quality of service to our customers, as close as possible to their needs. This production unit will allow us to respond with agility to the multiple needs of our historical and new customers.”
