Looking at the huge potential in the Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS), the Indian government is pushing for USD $400 billion of electronics manufacturing by 2025.
Of the USD $400 billion, the government has set a target of USD $203 billion from BOX BUILD + PCBA.
In a report of ELCINA, now renamed as Electronic Industries Association of India, said that EMS Task Force undertook a detailed exercise of estimating the EMS Market size through both the supply side and a demand side exercise.
The overall electronics production (including products and components) in 2019-20 was USD $ 75 billion. Of this, the electronics products production in the country (excluding components) in 2019-20 was around USD $64 billion.
Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) is a vital part of the electronics value chain in any country.
The global EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) market size in 2019 was USD $832 billion. It is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4 percent by 2025, to reach USD $1085 billion, the report added.
