ITW EAE is releasing a patented advanced tilt and rotate dispensing system for the Camalot Prodigy. This new and innovative system reduces wet out areas and improves capillary flowfor underfill and provides access to dispense on side walls, underneath, or around tall components. State-of-the-art rotary actuators provide a fast, high precision, zero backlash mechanism that allows articulation of the dispense pump in sub-degree increments in both axes as many times as you need for total flexibility.

“PCB designs are ever more challenging for dispensing with increased component densities, reduced material keep-out zones, and a broad mix of component heights,” said Hugh Read, ITW EAE Dispenser Group Business Manager. “The Prodigy’s Advanced Tilt and Rotate option solves all these challenges and more with its patented design and operation that will increase productivity and yields over alternatives.” Setup and calibration are automated functions that run after the machine has been initialized and/or if the pump has been removed and replaced. These routines ensure that the camera needle off sets at different angles and rotations are known.

Camalot is a brand of ITW EAE, a division of Illinois Tools Works, Inc.
