Nihon Superior Co. Ltd., an advanced joining material supplier, is pleased to announce that its 50-year anniversary celebration will take place Oct. 23, 2015 at the Geihinkan Guest House of the Expo ’70 Commemorative Park. The celebration will kick off on Oct. 22 with a sightseeing tour to Kyoto, followed by the anniversary ceremony on Oct. 23, and will conclude with a sightseeing tour to Hyogo prefecture (Kobe) on Oct. 24.

In 1999, Tetsuro Nishimura, President of Nihon Superior Co. Ltd., invented a revolutionary tin-copper-nickel-germanium alloy — SN100C. Nearly 17 years later, the material has grown and succeeded throughout the world to become one of the global industry’s most popular lead-free wave soldering alloys. Although developed initially to address the need for an economical wave solder, it has since been found that its properties also make SN100C an ideal choice for reflow and hand soldering as well as spheres for the attachment of area-array packages.

Nihon Superior was founded in 1966 when it began marketing unique flux products imported from the US. Since then, the company has made its mark by developing its own soldering materials and supplying them to the electronics industry. On the basis of its expertise in these technologies, Nihon Superior has developed a global business, establishing manufacturing and sales centers in Asia and forming business partnerships with companies in Europe, America and Asia.
