BOULDER, Colo., May 2 — The 6th Annual High Performance Computing Symposium, sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Advanced Computing Consortium (RMACC), has been set for Aug. 9-11 in the Lory Student Center on the campus of Colorado State University – Fort Collins.

The annual event, open to the public, brings together designers and users of high performance computing systems from universities, government laboratories, and industry from throughout the Intermountain Region.  The RMACC is composed of academic and government research institutions in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

Keynote speakers will be Irene M. Qualters, Division Director of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (ACI) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) in Arlington, VA, and Dr. Matthew Vaughn, Director of Life Sciences Computing at the University of Texas’ Advanced Computing Center in Austin, TX.
